Meet presenters Carol Gaab, Susan Gross and Kristy Placido.

Carol Gaab has been providing teacher training in TPRS and other CI-based strategies for (inter)national schools and universities since 1996. In addition to organizing the annual international Multi-cultural Language Conference and presenting at the National TPRS Conference, she is also a trainer for the Bureau of Education and Research. Carol has been teaching second language since 1990, including Spanish for all grades / levels and ESL and Spanish for various Major League Baseball clubs. She is currently the director of the San Francisco Giants ESL Program and teaches Spanish and ESL exclusively for the Giants. Carol has authored and published Spanish and ESL curricula and numerous novels and leveled readers for elementary through upper level Spanish. She is president of TPRS Publishing, Inc. and the founder and president of Fluency Matters.
Susan is an educational consultant and workshop presenter. She has been invited to consult throughout the US and internationally. Susan taught languages in public schools for 33 years, also serving as department chair and district language supervisor. During this time, she received numerous awards, including SWCOLT “Excellence in Teaching,” CCFLT “Genevieve Overman Service to the Profession,” and her school’s “Teacher of the Year.” She was President of CCFLT, a board member of SWCOLT, as well as fulfilling various offices in other professional organizations. Susan has written numerous articles that have been published in professional journals across the nation. She also wrote, translated, and edited a variety of foreign language materials.
