This concept of learning and being on vacation was the best! The Club Med surroundings were fabulous, with plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied or you could just relax on the beach. I enjoyed making new friends from around the USA and hope to see them again at the next summer conference. We had a great time in Playa del Carmen on our afternoon tour and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the entire week! Oh, and the food was delicious.

Thank you Carol and Shirley for providing me with this opportunity to

learn, experience the culture of Mexico and vacation all at the same

time. This was, by far, the best conference I have ever attended! What

a great concept to combine vacation with learning. The Club Med staff

worked very hard to offer top-notch service, the food was incredible and

there were many activities on and off site. The location of Club Med is

perfect with its beautiful views of the ocean and lagoon. Carol is a

vibrant and motivating teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about

TPRS. I am have been re-energized to teach this fall and can't wait to

use the method on my own students after experiencing (first hand) how

well it works. I have already highly recommended your conferences and

materials to my colleagues and am ordering your Hola series to use with

my students. In addition to what I learned, I networked with other

teachers and left the conference with many new friends with whom I will

keep in touch.

I wanted to attend the conference badly enough that I paid for all of it myself. It was money very well spent. The venue was wonderful (what a great way to travel...knowing up front that everything was paid for!!) This is one of the most interesting and worthwhile experiences of my teaching career. We worked really hard all mornings, and in the afternoon and evenings we had a great variety of things to have fun with while interacting with native Spanish-Speaking people. I recommend this conference to all Spanish Teachers of all levels.

This was my first experience with TPRS and it was intriguing. I liked the way Kristy worked in common vocabulary into her stories, so that Brian and I could figure quite a few things out when we remained in Mexico for a few days after the conference.

The visit to Chichen Izta on Friday worked well. I loved having a full-day group tour and then a whole day free. (We went to Xcaret; their evening show was impressive and thought-provoking.) The conference itself was great; putting it together with cultural experiences made it phenomenal. There are not many opportunities (that I know of!) in which you can get both. Carol, your knowledge, energy, and passion are impressive and inspiring. Thank you.

I would like to say that I think my time spent with you is going to transform my teaching. I taught
high school for quite a few years but for the last 4 I have been teaching at college. I originally
decided to attend the course because I am going to be offering a course in foreign language teaching
methodology to our teachers in training, but I have also discovered that I can benefit also from this
method at the college level. I attended the beginning TPRS course and it was exactly what I needed.
I would very much like to come back for more training and I am going to highly recommend that my
colleagues come for training as well as our teachers in training. thank-you for everything.
It was a totally wonderful experience and I learned so much from both Carol and Susan and am still
processing it all.

Thanks for the great experience. I was able to have it all-a vacation in beautiful Cancun, Mexico and was able to get the latest information on TPRS, all while experiencing ancient Mayan ruins that I can now teach about with confidence in my Spanish classes! The location was superb and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting to new experiences like swimming in underground rivers, horseback riding in the Caribbean, photographing the breathtaking ruins of Chichen Itza, and watching crazy participants fly through the air on Club Med's flying trapeze while sipping a tropical pineapple smoothie=) Overall, it was time and money well spent!!! I can't express what I experienced in words but the least I can say is THANK YOU to all of those involved and who attended, it was fabulous!

The skills and information learned are most valuable in assisting me to improve teaching Spanish and establish a more positive rapport with my students. I am looking forward to teaching and practicing this program in the fall. I know that it will be a great success which my students will appreciate and I will greatly enjoy. What a relief! Finally, a program which produces results and improved attitudes for both teachers and students.

I had been planning on going to a conference but had put it off until this one came up. The location was what attracted me. It was appropriate and compelling. I have a treasure of photos and information gleaned from our guide, Anya, to share with my students about the Mayans and Mexico. The presenters were excellent and the logistics of the conference were well planned. I wish to thank the TPRS staff for executing an exemplary program. I was sorry the conference ended and felt, for the first time in 25 years of attending courses and workshops, that I wanted more.

Thank you. I am eager to attend another TPRS conference for the skills you teach and the encouragement you give to teachers. You make us feel like true professionals!

The week in Cancun was a fabulous week!! Everything was organized, the presenters were awesome, the participants were great and the venue was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed our excursion to Chichen Itza. I also enjoyed watching the camaraderie that developed among this group of teachers over the week which I’m sure will turn into lasting friendships.

I must also add that at first I was worried about taking my 11 year old along but it worked out great. Club Med is great for kids. She had a wonderful time and made many new friendships of her own. She is currently communicating with some of them on IM.
